Here is the pattern I promised some people a week ago. Had a hard time writing the pattern. I really suck at this. I will only put the pattern of the stocking. You can use your imagination for the embellishment. For suggestions, you can use felt, or embroider a name on the cuff, or put beads! There’s so much you can do!!!

So, here it goes…. good luck!

Materials needed:

F or G hook and medium worsted weight yarn (color of your choice)

Body
Rnd 1: With color of your choice, ch 24, join with
sl st in first ch to form ring, ch 3, dc in each ch.
Join with sl st on the 3rd ch of the first st.
Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc in each dc, join with sl st on the 3rd ch
of the first st.
Rnd 3-6: repeat round 2
Rnd 7: Ch 12, skip 12 sts, join with sl st on the 13th st
(This will make the hole for the heel)
Rnd 8: Ch 3, dc in each st around, join with sl st on the 3rd ch
of the first st of the round.
Rnd 9-11: rpt rnd 8
Rnd 12: (you can change yarn color in this round)Ch 3, [dc2tog, 1 dc]
around, join with sl st
Rnd 13: ch 3, dc2tog around. Fasten off, leaving a long tail end for sewing.
Turn the stocking inside out, sew the toe end together.

Heel:
Rnd1: On the 6th ch in Rnd 7, join with sl st(you can change color here)
Ch 3, dc on nxt 4 sts, dc2tog twice, dc on nxt 8 sts, dc2tog twice,
dc on next 3 sts, join with sl st.
Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc on next 4 sts, dc2tog, dc on next 8 sts, dc2tog,
dc on nxt 3 sts, join with sl st, fasten off, leaving a long tail
end for sewing.
Sew opening.

Cuff:
Rnd 1: With a different color, Join with sl st on Rnd 1 of body (on the
wrong side), Ch 3, dc around every st, join with sl st.
Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc around every dc, join with sl st. Fasten off.

Or instead of making a cuff, you can do picot edges.

This Desk Organizer is small enough to fit your workspace but just enough to fit in lots of stuff that usually makes your desk look messy. It can fit CDs, small notebooks, index cards, and many more.

MATERIALS NEEDED:

• cardboard (about 3-4mm thick)
• heavy duty craft knife/cutter
• cutting mat
• specialty paper (your design of choice)
• glue (elmer’s glue)
• glue brush (to evenly spread the glue)
• steel ruler

1. Cut cardboard pieces with the following measurements:

BASE – 22cmX15.3

BACK PANEL – 22cmX15cm

FRONT PANEL – 22cmX7.5cm

DIVIDER – 7.5cmX14.5

2. Now, start assembling the box by gluing it together:

Start with the Base and the back panel:

Next, glue the side panels to the base and back panel:

Let it dry for an hour before putting the next piece.

Put the divider before gluing the front panel. I forgot to take a picture of the assembly of the front panel. But that’s easy to figure out.

3. Now, cover the box with your specialty paper. Make sure to spread the glue thinly and evenly to avoid bubbles.

You can add other embellishments such as lace, buttons, beads to be more creative.

Here is the final… I rubberstamped the name of my sister (since I made this organizer for her)

I found this design from a japanese sewing book which was on sale in a local bookstore. I didn’t understand a word it said but good thing I figured it out. I will post my version of the pattern next week as soon as I get back from my trip to Macau…
